A poet himself, Matthew Burgess writes a picture book biography of poet ee.cummings, providing  the details of his early life but also revealing the  professional roadblocks he faced to become a famous poet. Creatively exploiting the text based story, Di Giacomo's illustrations use scattered letters, images of his desk with typewriter in place and finally the poems themselves to illustrate this artist's curious path to acclaim.
