This picture book biography of Louise Bourgeois, sculptor, by Novesky, tells of the influence of her upbringing in a textile-restoring family in France. It is both the tale of an acclaimed artist and a testimony to the impact of the close relationship between mother and daughter that impacted her work. In lush illustrations that reflect the cloth-inspired work, Arsenault reflects the sculptor’s origins. And Arsenault dedicates the book to her own “Maman.”
