While a big fish is sleeping, a little fish steals his tiny blue hat. Page by page, the little fish talks himself into justifying his actions. But now he needs to hide. Those tall plants growing close together seem like a perfect place. The format and graphic illustrations highlight Klassen's ability to perfectly capture expressions in his animal characters. With few words and simple pictures, suspense in this mystery is effectively built.
