Mr. Magee and his dog, Dee, planned a day's adventure in their boat. They had no way of knowing just how much adventure this day would bring. One curious whale lands them up a tree (literally). How the other whales save them from their crazy predicament is the climax of Van Dusen's lively tale in verse. His vibrant gouache illustrations bring the story to life.
